The Inklings Christmas In Winter Blog Hop

Merry Christmas! I'm so glad you can join us for this special festive occasion!

Today I'm taking part in a Blog Hop filled with great ideas for Christmas. If you've been hopping along, you should have arrived here from Fiona's blog. At the end of this post you'll find the link to the next post on the chain and I've also added a list of everyone who's taking part in the Hop today in case you get lost along the way. Exciting news - there's Blog Candy! Just leave a comment on every blog in the Hop and then email Claire to let her know you did and if you're the lucky winner you'll receive some fabulous surprises in the post! (Sorry, Blog Candy prize not available to international hoppers or SU demos.)

And now   ...on with the show!

I've designed two projects for you to enjoy today. The first is a Christmas Card using the Delightful Decorations set.

The card has lots of sparkle with Frost White Shimmer Paint (in a few layers!) and some Rhinestones. Can you spot where I used the Tasteful Trim Big Shot die (only available until 31st July in the Autumn/Winter Mini!) ? I'm also loving how simple it is to punch out my ornaments with the Ornament Punch - so neat and quick! My sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings set - every occasion you could want for is in this one - it's a fabulous stand by set!

The second project I have for you today is a Treat Wallet.

It's the perfect size to fit a cellophane bag filled with home made treats and finishes it off into a gorgeous gift! I decorated the front with the Welcome Christmas set in Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler, along with an Antique brad and some tiny pearls. The window made with the Decorative label punch adds to the detail and gives a sneak peek at the contents! The back is finished off with some Metallic Eyelets and a simple bow tied in Hemp Twine. This came together quickly and I think I'll be making a few of these this Christmas!

I've filled this one with some slice I made this week - Decadent Chocolate and Walnut from the ever popular Womens Weekly! Watch out for it at Stamp Club this week - if I can keep it hidden from my husband until then ;)

The next Blog on today's hop is the lovely Clare. Once, you've commented on Clare's blog, continue on commenting on each of the blogs you visit until you get back where you started from. Then, don't forget to email Claire with 'Inklings Blog Hop' in the subject heading and she'll put you in the draw for some lovely goodies!

I'm looking forward to reading all your comments - thanks!

Liz.

Birthday Parties......

It's been Birthday month here at our house! My girls were due 2 years and 1 week apart. The due date for my second daughter was our Wedding Anniversary! Fortunately she was quite happy to wait a little longer and their birthdays are 3 weeks apart, but that's still very close! So with a 5th and 3rd birthday to celebrate we had some little parties. And what's a party without a party bag?

I made these party bags (very hastily photographed before being given out!) for the guests at our 5 year old party.

This pretty lady was dubbed 'Princess Claudia' when the 3 year old birthday girl had contained her excitement - she was very well loved!

And what's a 3 year old party without rainbow jelly?

We had another party today - this time for a pre-school friend. The request was for a pink cupcake card and this one met with approval.

Until next time.....

Stamp Club Creations!

Last week was our last Stamp Club meeting for the first half of the year! We've had a brilliant few months and I've really enjoyed meeting up with the ladies each month! This time around we created scrap book pages together. I thought they were all so gorgeous that I have photographed them to show you all!

Here is the page that I made for inspiration for the ladies. I CASED a page of Dani Hollands that I love. This one shows me with my Mum on my first birthday - a very special photo!

Jeannie made this page - the colours are Sahara Sand, Rose Red and Not Quite Navy. I love this combination - think I'll have to use it again!

Megan made this page. I think it suits the photo so well - and I love the Peach Parfait ric rac! It ties the page together so nicely!

Here's Amy's page! She embossed a bird cage on the corner. Subtle texture to really give the page a nice finish. It looks spectacular!

Karen made this lovely page! I love the way she used the Botanical Gazette paper across the bottom - my favourite paper at the moment!

Amanda made this page. So pretty! She snaffled a piece of my retired Parisian Breeze DSP (from an old mini catalogue) - it suits the page so well!

And here's Nat's creation. I love the way she has matched her colours to her wedding photo. Beautiful!

I had such fun with you, ladies, over the last 6 months! And, I had so much fun last week letting you loose and seeing what you came up with. (And sipping on a few bubbles!).

Bring on July!

Wagga Library Mother and Daughter Craft Workshop

Just stopping in to show you the project I'm sharing with Mothers and Daughters at the Wagga Library Craft workshop next weekend.

This frame is made using the All in the Family stamp set, as well as the Broadsheet alphabet and Timeless Type die cut letters. This sample is on display at the library already - you can see it near the circulation desk.

The workshop is being held next Saturday 25th June from 2pm. The class includes everything you need to make the project, including the frame. There will be choice of colours available. Workshop cost is $20. All the other details are available from the Library and bookings are essential. When I spoke to Library staff yesterday there were still a few spots available - so get in quick if you'd like to join in!

During the week as I was getting ready to take the sample frame in I hurriedly tried to take some photos of it. I thought this one was very cute. If you look carefully you can see my 1 year old son 'helping' me take the photo!

Until next time!
Liz.

Convention, Challenge Card.....and more!

How are you all?
I hope you're keeping warm in this freezing weather!
Last night I celebrated being able to stay at home in the warm by taking part in a Card Challenge! It was lots of fun (thanks ladies!). One of the challenges was a colour challenge - to make a card using the colours Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. I made a birthday card!

Wild Wasabi felt a bit bright next to the other colours so I sanded the Designer Series Paper I had to give it a more muted tone. I love the way the Beveled Windowpane really highlights the sentiment!

It's a gorgeous clear cold day here today, so I've photographed my card outside in the lavender. I had a little helper - I think he approved!

I've been a having some fun lately creating cards which are not my usual style. This one, using the stamp set Artistic Etchings was a lot of fun!

Back in May I went to Stampin' Up Convention down in Melbourne. I had a fabulous time! I learned lots of new things and was so glad to meet people I'd previously only met online, as well as catching up with old friends. There are lots of things to show you when our new catalogue comes out in a few months - and so many new things to share already! I was surprised to see this photo of me with Beth (my upline), Amanda (my downline) and Marelle and Jo (two very lovely ladies!) on Shelli Gardner's blog!

Shelli (Stampin' Up! founder) wrote a great post about this years Convention which you can read on her blog. I highly recommend her blog for all kinds of inspiration! There are lots of lovely photos from Convention there!

These last two cards are some simple pretty cards I've been sharing with people lately! The little cupcake card has lots of sparkly goodness and the thankyou card has some vintage sweetness. If you'd like to make one of these cards with me (or any other I've posted today!) let me know!

Wednesdays Child

Just popping in to show you a card for the day!

This is the Thankyou I made to send to people after my son was born. It's simple and quite quick to make - which is great because there were so many to make!

I'd love to hear what you think about the cards you've seen this week so far - please leave me a comment to say hello!

And as a little bit of a bonus - here's a tea bag card I made as a gift.

See you tomorrow!
